SAM is a bootable Linux-CD based on Mandrakelinux, a installation on harddrive is not necessarily, but possible. Because of the small size of under 210mb it fits on a 8cm-mini-CD and is ideal for carrying in the pocket. Although it is so small, it contains a full graphical desktop environment with office-, internet-, multimedia- and graphics-applications, even some games are there.
Last night I added the first screenshot of the upcoming SAM 1.0 TestRelease. As you can see SAM uses now the Xfce from CVS and many new/changed applications, like the latest Mozilla Firefox 1.0PR. I hope I am able to finish the work this weekend.
